NMB ROLLS- OUT A TZS 246 MILLION DEPOSIT MOBILIZATION CAMPAIGN

• Bank customers to win exclusive prizes as well as bank account balance top-ups 
 

NMB Chief of Retail Banking Filbert Mponzia and Head of Personal Banking Aikansia Muro flagging off 3- wheelers to signal the launch of Bonge la Mpango Phase 2 aimed at inculcating a savings culture for customers better financial stability.

NMB Bank PLC has today launched Bonge la Mpango phase 2, a deposit mobilization campaign that will see customers’ win cash prizes and a Toyo 3- wheelers.

More than TZS 245 Million worth of prizes are to be won in this promotion as part of the bank’s strategic activities for 2021 aimed at ensuring that NMB remains competitive in the market as well as cement its lead role as the “safest financial solutions provider and a banking service delivery champion.”

Over four million NMB customers will stand a chance to win 50 Toyo three wheelers each worth Tsh4.4 million. While 120 lucky customers will win cash prizes worth TZS 12 million.

Speaking at the launch, the NMB Bank’s Chief Retail Banking – Filbert Mponzi, said the campaign is a way of giving back customers who continue to trust the bank by managing their savings while also inculcating a savings culture for their better financial stability.

For the next three months, there will be a prize galore ranging from topping up of customers account balances and Toyo three-wheelers as part of a drive that will run until the end of December.

“We are committed to making available exciting opportunities for our customers while also encouraging them to adopt good financial habits especially when the holiday season is around the corner which is known for depleting individual finances,” said Mr Mponzi.

“The campaign also seeks to encourage the unbanked population of the country, to come forward and open accounts so as to save their money with NMB.” Mr Mponzi added.

Being the leading financial services solutions provider in the country, Mr Mponzi added “we want to encourage the culture of saving in that the goods and value to be derived from this remarkable campaign are spectacular and out to demonstrate NMB’s concern for its customers and the unbanked population of Tanzania.”

Mr Mponzi said, to qualify for the raffle draws and receive direct benefits of the offers, depositors need to maintain some specific amounts in their accounts at a given period.

Customers who open any account, deposit 100,000 or transfer 100,000 from any other channel to NMB Account or set a standing order of 100,000 or more, stand to win attractive prizes on a weekly, monthly basis.

While opening or depositing TZS 10,000,000 in an NMB account and then saving it for a period of a month or more, increases one’s chances of winning in the grand finale scheduled to be conducted at the end of December,” added Mr. Mponzi.

Mr. Mponzi also said a grand raffle draw will be held in which only customers that maintain balances of TZS 10,000,000 or more into their NMB Account for 30 days are more likely to win prizes. “During the Grand Finale we shall hand over 14 Toyo- 3 wheelers worth TZS 62 mln.” he added.

Customers who deposit more than TZS 100,000 balance in their NMB accounts will be part of the monthly draw for 3 winners of Mid-Sized Pick-ups. While those maintaining a balance of TZS 100,000 or more during the week period could emerge winners of Toyo Tree wheelers.
